Our review

Cat Quest II is intuitive to pick up, has beautiful illustrations, and is cute. It plays on the cat aspect quite a lot, so this is definitely a game for cat lovers.

It is easy to get into and easy to lose track of time in for the first few hours. After that I was missing depth, and it started to feel a bit repetitive. Go in, kill monsters, get a quest, go to a dungeon, kill monsters again, open a treasure chest, bring the contents somewhere. Rinse and repeat.

Starting co-op is simple: choose Play Co-op in the main menu, and player two joins by pressing A on the second controller.

I still think this is a beautiful experience, especially if you want to play with less experienced players on one screen and just start the game quickly. The animations are beautiful. There is enough customization to keep grinding for, but not so much that it gets overwhelming. That makes it especially great for inexperienced players.
