Our review
We love Badland. It is easy to get into, intuitive yet fun, and not an expensive game. It is something we can easily come back to.
The graphics are absolutely beautiful. And even though it seems so simple at first sight, just looking at the preview images, it is incredibly fun.
In co-op you more or less have to keep the same speed. So it works best when both players have a similar level of experience and skill. Otherwise one player ends up dying a lot more than the other.
That said, the constant cloning also lets you bring the other player back to life. There are plenty of chances to revive each other, so it feels collaborative all the time.
Co-op is quite straightforward: you pick it in the main menu. And the interesting part is that you do not need controllers at all. One player taps the left side of the screen, the other the right side. Really cool.
Another neat feature if you play with someone less experienced: you can skip some of the difficult parts.
